وجهت اللجنة التحضيرية العليا لمليونية التصالح والتسامح الجنوبي في مدينة عدن رسالة إلى السفير الأمريكي بصنعاء جيرالد فايرستاين، عبرت فيها باسم مليونية شعب الجنوب عن الاستياء الشعبي الجنوبي، وطالبته بالاعتذار لشعب الجنوب عن تصريحه الغريب الذي اتهم الجنوب وثورته السلمية التحررية بالعمالة لإيران.
نص الرسالة:
سعادة السيد: جيرالد فايرستاين سفير الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في صنعاء المحترم
السلام عليكم ، وبعد:
نخاطبكم باسم مليونية شعب الجنوب في ذكرى التسامح والتصالح ( 13 يناير 2013) بمدينة عدن ومدن الجنوب الأخرى، ونعبر لكم عن استياء شعب الجنوب مما نُسب إليكم من تصريح غريب في وسائل الإعلام، يتهم شعبنا بالعمالة لإيران، لمجرد تعبيره عن موقفه الوطني بطريقة سلمية حضارية، في مليونية يناير التي أكدت وحدة الهدف المتمثل في التحرير والاستقلال واستعادة الدولة المدنية الجنوبية الكاملة السياسية، ورفض حوار صنعاء الوطني، الذي لا يعنيه.
وإذ نستنكر تصريحكم بغضب شعبي شديد، فإننا نستوضح ما يأتي:
1- هل يعبر مضمون التصريح عن رأي سعادتكم أو عن رأي الإدارة الأمريكية؟.
2- على أي دليل جاز لكم اتهام شعب الجنوب وثورته السلمية التحررية بالعمالة لإيران؟
وعليه فإننا نطالبكم، باسم المليونية الجنوبية، بالاعتذار لشعب الجنوب، عن ذلك التصريح الغريب، إن صحت نسبته إلى سعادتكم، أو نفيه إن لم يصدر عنكم.
نؤكد استياءنا بغضب شعبي شديد، لكننا نأمل أن تقرؤوا المليونية الجنوبية قراءة موضوعية.

Alsalam aleekum
We are addressing your Excellency in the name of the millions who gathered in Aden and other Southern cities in the memory of Forgiveness and Reconciliation(Jan. 13th, 2013).
We convey to your Excellency the resentment of the people of the south for the strange statement attributed to your Excellency in the media in which you accused the people of the south to be an agent for Iran. The people who just express their national opinion and attitude in peaceful and civilized demonstration of (millions) in which they emphasize the sole goal represented in liberation ,independence and the restoration of the entire political southern civil state and rejecting the national dialogue( of Sana'a) for which they don't care.
While we condemn your statement with extreme public resentment we seek clarification for the following:
1) Does the content of the statement reflect the opinion of the ambassador or the opinion of the American Administration?
2)On what basis your Excellency accuse the people of the south and their peaceful liberation revolution to be an agent for Iran?
Consequently, we in the name of the million southern demonstrators demand that your Excellency apologize to the people of the south for that strange statement if it's truly attributed to your Excellency, or to deny it if it's not.
We stress our extreme public dissatisfaction and we hope that this demonstration of one million southern people to be the subject of objective reading.
